Privacy Notice
Last updated: 24 August 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience. The Turkish notice is the authoritative text and governs in the event of any discrepancy. Read the Turkish notice
This notice explains what we do with your information when you fill in the quote form on this site: what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. It is the English rendering of the notice we publish under Article 10 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
1. Data controller
Your personal data is processed by Akdoğu Nakliyat Ltd. Şti. (“Akdoğu Lojistik”) as data controller, within the scope described below.
- Address — Buğdaycı İş Merkezi, Cami Şerif Mah. 5232 Sok. Bina No: 4 Daire No: 24, Akdeniz / Mersin
- Phone — +90 324 238 00 20
- E-mail — info@akdogulojistik.com
2. What we process
The quote form asks only for what we need in order to come back to you and price your request:
- Identity — Your first and last name.
- Contact — Your e-mail address and phone number.
- Transaction — Your company name and what you tell us about the shipment: mode of transport, cargo type, cargo class, equipment, description of goods, ADR class or UN number where given, weight, places of loading and delivery, the date the cargo will be ready, and any notes you add. Which language you filled the form in is also recorded, solely so that we reply to you in it.
- Security — The date and time your request arrived. To keep the form from being abused by automated software we also hold an irreversibly hashed digest of your IP address for at most one hour; your IP address cannot be recovered from that digest and it is not linked to who you are.
We collect nothing beyond this. The form does not ask for special categories of personal data (health, religion, membership and so on); please do not put such information in the notes field either.
3. Why we process it
- To assess your request and prepare a price quote.
- To contact you about your request.
- To prevent misuse of the quote form.
4. Legal basis
Your data is processed without requiring your explicit consent, on the grounds set out in the second paragraph of Article 5 of the Law:
- 5/2-c — Direct relation to the establishment or performance of a contract. A quote request is the first step of a haulage contract that may be entered into.
- 5/2-f — Our legitimate interest, provided it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms. Keeping a record of the request and preventing abuse of the form fall within this.
5. Who we share it with
Nobody. Your quote request is delivered from the server hosting this site straight to our corporate e-mail inbox; that server is located in Türkiye and our hosting provider is established in Türkiye.
Your data is not transferred abroad. It is not passed to any third-party advertising, analytics, marketing or similar service. Transfers are made only to public authorities legally entitled to request information, and only to the extent the legislation requires.
6. How we collect it
Your personal data is collected electronically and by partly automated means, when you fill in and send the quote form on this site. You are not obliged to use the form; you can also request a quote by phone or e-mail.
7. How long we keep it
Your request is not held in a separate database; the message in our corporate inbox is the record itself.
- If no commercial relationship follows — We keep your request for at most 2 years and then delete it.
- If a commercial relationship follows — The retention periods set out in the applicable legislation — in particular the Turkish Commercial Code and the Tax Procedure Law — apply.
- Security record — The hashed digest of your IP address is deleted automatically after at most one hour.
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the Law you may apply to us to exercise the following rights:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed.
- To request information if it has been processed.
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose.
- To know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom your data has been transferred.
- To request correction where the data has been processed incompletely or inaccurately.
- To request erasure or destruction within the conditions of Article 7 of the Law.
- To request that correction, erasure or destruction be notified to the third parties your data was transferred to.
- To object to a result reached to your detriment through analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems.
- To claim compensation where you suffer loss because your data was processed unlawfully.
9. How to apply
In accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, you may submit your application in writing to the address above, or send it from an e-mail address you have previously notified to us and that is registered in our system. State your name, your contact details and the subject of your request clearly.
You can send applications to info@akdogulojistik.com. We conclude requests free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on their nature; where the process incurs a cost, the fee in the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged.
10. Cookies and browser storage
This site uses no cookies. We do not track your visit, we run no analytics software and we send no requests to any third-party service; everything, fonts included, is served from our own server.
Only two technical records are kept in your browser: the light or dark theme you chose, and a flag that keeps the intro animation from playing more than once in a session. These contain no personal data, are never sent to our server, and can be removed by clearing this site's data in your browser.
11. Changes
We update this notice when what we collect, or how we process it, changes. The date of the version in force is written at the top.
